NDIS Funded Music Lessons in Perth

West Coast Music School proudly supports NDIS participants through our complete music program. We are one of the few music schools in Perth offering NDIS-funded music education that is not music therapy.
Our focus is on confidence, community participation and meaningful skill development through music. We support both children and adults under eligible NDIS plans
How NDIS Funding Works at WCMS
NDIS funding at WCMS supports participation in our full music program, not stand-alone weekly lessons.
Since October 2024, NDIS funding no longer supports “music lessons only” arrangements. Participants must be enrolled in and actively participating in the complete program structure.
At WCMS, this includes:
Private tuition
Workshops where applicable
Concert participation and attendance
Studio resources and structured support
Funding covers the entire program experience. It does not cover isolated weekly lessons.
Our program structure ensures alignment with current NDIS participation requirements and protects both families and participants from non-compliant arrangements.
Program Participation & Compliance
To remain eligible under NDIS guidelines, participants must engage in the full program model.
Concert weeks and workshops form part of the educational experience. They are not optional add-ons. They are included within your funded program.
WCMS operates on a membership model aligned to our 49-week annual calendar. Week-to-week billing for NDIS participants is not available.
This structure ensures consistency, educational continuity and funding compliance.
Learning Support Plans
All NDIS participants at WCMS receive a tailored Learning Support Plan.
We collaborate with parents, carers and support workers to understand:
Individual goals
Sensory considerations
Communication needs
Emotional regulation strategies
Access requirements
This ensures each student is appropriately supported within lessons, workshops and performances.
Our mentors are experienced in working with neurodivergent and disabled students and adapt each session to meet the learner in front of them.
Plan Management Options
Self-Managed Plans
Families manage invoices directly and claim reimbursement through their plan.
Plan-Managed Plans
We liaise directly with your plan manager to organise invoicing and payments on your behalf.
If you are unsure whether your plan will support participation, our team is happy to discuss your individual circumstances and liaise with your plan manager where appropriate.
