Benjamin Bearsley
Benjamin is one of our loved drum mentors at WCMS. He has an aptitude and deep passion for holistically bringing the best out in his students. With his intuitive and engaging teaching style, Ben aims to motivate, inspire and empower his students, no matter their age or background in music.With over 15 years of experience writing and performing his own music across Perth. Benjamin has a strong desire to create music that is expressive and eclectic and this pours into his drumming style as well. Learning how to play the drums was the first step in his musical journey and it is his humble opinion that having a deep understanding of rhythm will be a great benefit to any current or future aspiring musician.

Lachie Standing
Lachie began his music journey with the piano at 8 years old, moving onto the trumpet, euphonium, guitar and bass before finding his calling on the drums. Drumming has since become his passion and he has poured his heart and soul into honing his craft to a professional level, performing a wide variety of styles in the local scene – rock, pop, folk, metal, fusion and his personal favourite, jazz. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Drumming at WAAPA and has worked as a live and studio sound engineer since 2020. This allows him to better prepare his students for their first steps on the stage and into the studio.Lachie prides himself on being able to bring his love for drumming to students of all levels and backgrounds. He is passionate about equal opportunities in the music industry and hopes to see more diversity behind the kit.
He believes that while technique and rudiments have their place, music should above all be fun

We welcome everyone, from absolute beginners to advanced musicians. Our curriculum is designed to meet each student at their current skill level and progress from there.

The Muso Workshops are a dynamic series of hands-on sessions where students create, collaborate, and refine their musical skills—building toward a Music Video Competition in October!
The WCMS community will vote for the best performances, and the winners will take the stage at the End of Concert/Gala!

No. We offer month-to-month enrolment, providing flexibility and convenience. You are not locked into long-term commitments, and you can start at any time and cancel at any time. This allows you to tailor your lessons to your schedule and preferences

Lessons continue all year round to ensure continuous learning for all students.
If you would like to take time of during school holidays, simply cancel and reschedule those lessons for when it suits you.

Yes! In addition to our in-studio lessons at 16 Morris Pl Innaloo, you can opt to have your lessons in the comfort of your own home with either a mentor travelling to you each week or by tuning in via zoom each week.
