5 Holistic Benefits of Learning Music as a Child
This month, I have been sharing all the need-to-know info for the Mini Musos programme - our unique group learning curriculum for children aged 4-6 years old. We’ve touched on what you need to know before enrolling, and why parents love it so much… but we can’t forget about the little rockstars themselves.
So here are 5 awesome benefits your little one will experience through learning music at this age:
Cognitive Development & Academic Support
It’s well documented that learning music strengthens our cognitive abilities, especially when it comes to:I
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
Reading & Comprehension
Memory & Recall
Mathematics
Getting your child involved in quality music education from an early age sets them up for success in school and life.
Emotional Expression
Music is celebrated for providing a safe space for children to explore and express their emotions in a healthy way, while helping manage things like anxiety and stress. It also guides them in nurturing their own emotional intelligence, setting them up to be wonderful members of society as they grow.
Team Work
The group-based learning environment is a wonderful setting for these mini musicians. It’s a supportive and nurturing environment for them to explore teamwork while strengthening their socialisation, communication, and leadership skills.
Creativity & Imagination
One of my favourite parts of the Mini Musos program is the way it fosters creativity in children through play-based learning and storytelling. The sky is the limit! Students are given a safe space to explore and innovate whilst ensuring their learning environment remains inspiring, fun, and engaging along the way.
Discipline & Patience
I truly feel this is one of the most important skills that can be learnt through music. In a world where instant gratification is considered the norm, learning music teaches patience, resilience, and discipline.
Don’t get me wrong - there is a time and place for instant gratification as it leads to efficiency; however, when it comes to LEARNING and GROWING, patience and resilience are both key skills to help us reach our full potential.
SAVE SOME MONEY
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of music education for children of this age as it has such an astoundingly positive influence on their development.
I’d love for you to see how wonderful music can be in your little one’s life, so I’m going to extend you a special offer.
